Federal 勤工助学 Employer Information

The Federal 勤工助学 Program (FWS) is a federal student aid program that provides funding to support part-time employment opportunities for eligible students. FWS funding helps pay a percentage of the hourly wages earned. The money students earn helps pay for personal and/or educational expenses. 工作 are designed to relate to the student’s course of study and/or encourage community service work whenever possible.

To be eligible to receive a work-study award, students must:

• 完成 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Be enrolled (minimum of 6 credits)
• Have demonstrated financial need as determined by the FAFSA
• Maintain Satisfactory 学术的进步 (SAP)

勤工助学 jobs can be either on campus or off campus. All agencies located off campus must be approved by NDSU 金融援助 and 奖学金 and be a private, non-profit organization or public agency, and the work performed must be in the public interest.
